The IAFST is pleased to announce a resolution in the Greene County, Tennessee, matter. The Sheriff has replied both to myself and spoken with Mr Saylor and the arbitrary and capricious banning from evictions of our Member has been rescinded. The Affidavit presented, documenting the matter, will not be made public. And as a matter of law in Greene County, Tennessee, 8 people must be present for any eviction as opposed to the attempt to allow “clients” to determine how many are necessary. I was told that this is statewide; however, I am awaiting a reply from Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti. To this point and as this was a FHA property, under the jurisdiction of HUD, it is an abysmal failure on HUD’s part in both refusing to enter the fray, but more importantly refusing to ensure that this information is readily available to Labor — those whom actually break their back everyday on behalf of HUD. It is a sad footnote that the fear of appointed officials is so great; it is a testament to the sheer and utter sellout to NAMFS members, and there will come a time when Labor finally decides simply not to show up for the $10 an hour paid to them.
No matter large or small, the IAFST will defend its Membership when Management refuses to do such. Amazing, the price of a cup of coffee a day gets more done than the million dollar galas thrown by other Associations.
I’ve stayed away from the Preservation Industry specifically because not much has changed…This is bigger than you may think. This forces the Nationals and ALL members of the National Association of Mortgage Field Services to comply by the local jurisdictions and not their made up rules they made because they bid they job to low…
Until Next Time…
